This Gaiwan Subscription Box is a selection of some of the best loose leaf teas and herbs to infuse using a gaiwan.
If you've not used a gaiwan before, it is essentially a lidded tea bowl that's used as a teapot, however it's far more than the sum of its parts. First conceived in the Ming Dynasty, it's perfect for infusing the most delicate and intricate teas. It's particularly suited to this selection of delicious loose leaf teas because they can be infused multiple times with a high leaf-to-water ratio. A gaiwan gives you great accuracy and allows you to savour multiple extractions of your precious leaf.
They're also great to take with you on the road, compact enough to take with you from a train to a plane.
